Fundamentals of Cosmetic Tattooing

The Fundamentals of Cosmetic Tattooing Course spans 100 hours in total, meticulously designed to meet and exceed the high standards set by the State of Maine and the American Academy of Micropigmentation. Our class goes above and beyond the requirements set forth by the state of Maine to even better prepare our students for graduating and working solo.
This comprehensive course strikes a balance between home study and individualized, in-person instruction. This course is conducted in a two student maximum setting, providing you with undivided attention to guarantee a thorough and comprehensive learning experience. All live model procedures are done on a 1:1 student to instructor ratio, this is crucial to provide the highest quality training when working on your first live models.
The in-person classes are spread across two weeks, running from Tuesday to Friday, with sessions from 9 AM to 6 PM. Home study hours are a required part of your learning journey, both before and during the in-person classes. Home study is a part of your hourly requirement set by the state of Maine and the national board.
To complete portions of the assigned home study, you will need access to a computer and the internet.
Your investment includes:
- All learning materials, including a detailed manual & workbook.
- 12 month private access to an industry leading online color theory and pigment selection course (valued at over $450).
- A large training kit, which consists of important tools -such as but not limited to – your tattoo machine, a wide variety of practice inks, various needle cartridges, numbing agents, practice skins, a 3D practice face for the most realistic practice possible, the training kit is (valued at over $1,500). We offer one of the most generous training kits out of any course available in the state. Giving you a more solid foundation for jumpstarting your new career and for the best learning experience possible.

Use of our studio as a supervised apprentice is permitted upon completion of your training course for further model practice at a daily rate for 60 days post course completion. This is useful for those that have yet to obtain a space to work out of and allows you to keep up the skills you have learned.

Scalp Pigmentation Course
$4,500
This intensive 3 day course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the transformative art of Scalp Pigmentation. Scalp Pigmentation is the technique of tattooing tiny microblading impressions into the scalp that mimic the natural hair follicles, this procedure is life changing for those who are experiencing hair thinning or balding. This service is in high demand and there are currently very limited skilled artists in the state of Maine.
This service can only be legally performed by someone who has a valid Cosmetic Tattoo (micropigmentation) license in the State of Maine. Prior machine experience is required for this course. This course can be added to the Fundamentals Of Cosmetic Tattooing Course as well.
